I’ve been very athletic my whole life. Having a long history of competitive soccer, waterskiing, wrestling, track and field, and numerous other activities has done towards generally staying fit and healthy.

But weight training is what really lit my passion for physical fitness on fire when it became my hobby 11 years ago in college. Since then, I’ve always been my own student of body building, and so have had little confidence in any trainer’s ability to teach me something I didn’t already know.

Then friend introduced me to Flex Training Gym. Sure, just like any other cookie cutter personal trainer, you could use Flex’s staff to simply count reps for you, but Ron and Mark recognized right away that I had advanced needs, and they immediately demonstrated how they could take me to the next level with only some minor adjustments in technique and nutrition. It was clear to me that these guys were real, competition hardened, high-level body builders who have practiced what they teach.

I was so inspired by their information, and they by my enthusiasm, that I had Flex custom tailor a complete training regimen from workout routine, to diet, supplement programs. I thought that I could maybe enhance my beach body by adding definition to my abs, shoulders, and chest. But, Flex’s approach was transformative! I still weigh the same 185 lbs. I did when I first started, but now it’s raw, hardened, sinewy, lean muscle with definition for days! In fact after 4 months of Flex’s program, the trainers encouraged me to enter a body building contest. I was reluctant to compete because I didn’t want to put on the size necessary to be a body builder but Flex training gym introduced me to the brand new Physique class created for more “normally” developed men.

Never in a million years would I see myself competing in body building, but there I was on stage. Thanks to Flex’s trainers who saw my natural ability and took me to the next level. They offered an intellectual challenge to keep me engaged, finely tuned my technique to make my workouts more effective, guided my nutrition, and coached me through my first competitive body building event. Thanks you Flex for helping me accomplish something that I’d never even dreamed of!
